RFC 5826 Home Automation Routing Requirements in LLNs
نویسندگان
چکیده
This document presents requirements specific to home control and automation applications for Routing Over Low power and Lossy (ROLL) networks. In the near future, many homes will contain high numbers of wireless devices for a wide set of purposes. Examples include actuators (relay, light dimmer, heating valve), sensors (wall switch, water leak, blood pressure), and advanced controllers (radiofrequency-based AV remote control, central server for light and heat control). Because such devices only cover a limited radio range, routing is often required. The aim of this document is to specify the routing requirements for networks comprising such constrained devices in a home-control and automation environment.

متن کاملBuilding Automation Routing Requirements in Low-Power and Lossy Networks
The Routing Over Low-Power and Lossy (ROLL) networks Working Group has been chartered to work on routing solutions for Low-Power and Lossy Networks (LLNs) in various markets: industrial, commercial (building), home, and urban networks. Pursuant to this effort, this document defines the IPv6 routing requirements for building automation. (IETF). It represents the consensus of the IETF community. ...

Status of This Memo This memo provides information for the Internet community. It does not specify an Internet standard of any kind. Distribution of this memo is unlimited. Abstract The application-specific routing requirements for Urban Low-Power and Lossy Networks (U-LLNs) are presented in this document. In the near future, sensing and actuating nodes will be placed outdoors in urban environm...
متن کاملComposite Metrics for Routing in Low Power and Lossy Networks
IETF ROLL (Routing Over Low power and Lossy networks) Group proposes the RPL (IPv6 Routing Protocol for LLNs) for routing in low power and lossy networks. Though RPL is able to work on several routing metrics, the details of using these metrics are not completely specified in the standard. To meet different QoS requirements of the applications, adopting proper routing metrics is essential. In t...
